Valencia vs Almeria
Valencia will have gone 17 games without a LaLiga fixture
by kick-off here and they’ll be desperate to make amends
for a shock home defeat against Cadiz last time out.
The response to that performance has been positive
with two strong cup showings from Los Che since.
Samuel Lino has been particularly impressive on the left flank
and I’d expect Edinson Cavani to cause problems here
with this unconvincing Almeria defence likely to struggle
against the powerful Uruguayan.
Rubi’s team have been poor travellers all season
and I can’t see them being capable of replicating Cadiz’s disciplined
defensive performance here on matchday 16.
They do have pace in attack though so I wouldn’t be surprised
if Almeria threatened on the break
and got on the scoresheet at some point.
