It has been a miserable season, but Atletico Madrid
deserve credit for the character they showed to win a tough
fixture at Osasuna last weekend and they should back that up
with another solid win here.
They have no injury worries right now and added both
Memphis Depay and Matt Doherty in January
so they aren’t short on options.
Getafe are badly out of form and struggling to create
many chances so a home clean sheet does look likely in this one.
They did show at Camp Nou a fortnight ago
that they are still capable of being awkward opponents
and we can expect the visitors to come here with
what is effectively a back five and try to hold out for a point.
I’d expect Atletico Madrid to still find a way through at some point
in the game though.
