Girona vs Valencia
Valencia parted company with coach Gennaro Gattuso earlier
in the week and failed to do any January business.
Those two things are linked and it’s going to be a really
difficult job for Gattuso’s successor.
Valencia have a young squad that is already low on confidence
and perhaps not best placed to handle the pressures
that go with playing for a big club in a relegation battle.
I don’t see them getting anything here against a Girona side
that played really well again in defeat to Barcelona last weekend.
Michel altered his tactics slightly to be a bit more conservative
in the last two matches, but I expect Girona to return
to their usual attacking ways here and we should get an open game
with goals and a home win likely.
