but I think Espanyol are certainly the stronger side overall.
Martin Braithwaite has done a good job of filling in for star striker
Joselu during the latter’s recent injury lay-off but Diego Martinez
should be able to accommodate both into the eleven here.
Indeed, this may well be the strongest side Espanyol have been
able to field all season with Cesar Montes fit again
while fellow January arrivals Pacheco and Denis Suarez have
now got some minutes under their belts
and both add something to this team.
Real Valladolid by contrast are still not offering anywhere
near enough of a goal threat and they weren’t great defensively
either last time out as they lost 3-0 in Vigo.
They have a couple of suspensions here to add to their problems,
so there’s plenty of reason to think
Espanyol can make it three straight wins as they look
to move further clear of relegationtrouble.
