These have been two of the most entertaining sides to watch
this season with both Rayo Vallecano and Girona favouring
a positive approach.
Rayo are experiencing a bit of a dip in form but I fancy we’ll see
a reaction from them here after a poor showing in Vigo.
Andoni Iraola has struggled to find a way to effectively bring
big money signing Raul de Tomas into this side and
again it didn’t really work against Celta,
so I could see him reverting to his trusted system and lineup
here with Sergio Camello the main striker.
Girona’s open nature does often leave them vulnerable defensively
in away games and they are also missing Aleix Garcia,
who has been not just their best player
but one of the best midfielders in LaLiga this season.
That’s a big hole to fill for the Catalan side and
I fancy Rayo will have the better of this game.
