Elche vs Barcelona
Elche have made yet another managerial change
with Pablo Machin leaving and Sebastián Beccacece becoming
their fourth Head Coach of the season.
It’s another strange decision from the Elche board
as things had improved under Machin,
although they are already only really playing for pride
with relegation a near certainty.
The only positive for Elche here is that Barcelona are still
missing some important players and may rest others ahead
of next week’s Copa del Rey Semi-Final 2nd Leg against Real Madrid.
Evenso, I don’t really see Elche having much joy against a Barcelona
side that has an outstanding defensive record,
not least with their best striker Lucas Boye suspended.
Another win for Xavi’s side looks likely but they may struggle
to secure a convincing margin with the likes of Pedri,
Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele missing.
Prediction: Elche 0-1 Barcelona
