Real Betis vs Cadiz
Cadiz have an Andalusian derby against opposition from
Seville for the second week running but I don’t expect
this to go any better than their 2-0 loss to Sevilla last weekend.
While they were a bit unlucky in that game, it does feel like
this Cadiz side are struggling at both ends of the pitch currently
with Gonzalo Escalante’s injury hampering them creatively while
goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma is a big miss in goal.
Betis have had their own selection issues but it looks like
Sergio Canales may now be able to play in this game,
with his original four game suspension potentially being
paused subject to an appeals process.
Even without Canales, Betis played quite well in Madrid against
Atletico last weekend and a repeat level of performance
should be enough to see off their local rivals here providing
the likes of Borja Iglesias can show a bit more
composure in front of goal.
