Espanyol vs Cadiz


This is a massive game at the bottom of the table, particularly for 19th 
placed Espanyol who really need to win it. We’ve seen enough from 
Cadiz though to suggest they are capable of getting a result.


So far, there has been little sign that Espanyol have made the right 
decision by replacing Diego Martinez. They’ve lost both games since 
bringing in Luis Garcia and they deserved to lose them both with 
two fairly poor defensive performances, 
in keeping with the overall trend of their season.


They’ve now lost six in a row, despite scoring in all of those games, 
and even against a relatively limited Cadiz attack, it’s hard to see 
them keeping a clean sheet with a defence that has looked weak 
for virtually the entire season. 


Even some of their better performing players at the other end such 
as Joselu looked dejected in the defeat to Real Betis last weekend.


They will need their supporters to make some noise for this potentially 
decisive match but Friday night games don’t tend to be well attended 
and the RCDE Stadium is not one of the most hostile grounds in Spain. 


Cadiz will believe they can take a result from the game and their record 
in these relegation six pointers is excellent with no defeats this season 
against teams currently in the bottom seven positions in the league.


Sergio is unlikely to take many risks in pursuit of victory here, particularly 
with a few players still sidelined through injury. 


They did not play well last weekend against Real Madrid and could easily 
have lost by more than two goals but they should have a stronger eleven
out for this game with goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma and right-back 
Iza Carcelen both available again after suspension. 


Against much weaker opposition, we should see a better performance 
from Cadiz and they’ll probably be happy to leave with a draw.

스페인에서 적극적인 스타디움은 아닙니다. 


카디스는 이번 경기에서 결과를 가져올 수 있다고 믿을 것이며, 리그 하위 
7위 팀들 중 시즌에 패배한 경기가 없는 우수한 기록을 가지고 있습니다.


세르지오 감독은 특히 몇몇 부상자들이 아직 휴식을 취하고 있기 때문에 
이번 경기에서 승리를 위해 많은 위험을 감수하기는 어렵습니다.
