Real Sociedad vs Rayo Vallecano
Rayo Vallecano claimed a long-awaited victory last weekend to bolster
their European ambitions and they should be competitive here too.
With their best centre-back Robin Le Normand suspended,
Real Sociedad will be more vulnerable defensively than normal and
the visitors are certainly capable of getting on the scoresheet.
However Rayo are also missing two first team regulars to suspensions,
including centre-back Alejandro Catena who will certainly be missed.
Even though they lost last weekend in the derby in Bilbao, Real Sociedad
again showed a few signs that they may be getting back towards
a higher level again in the final third of the pitch, having also
created good chances in their last home game against Getafe.
They are targeting a third straight home win here and I expect
them to get it, although it’s likely to be closer than their
last two outings at the Reale Arena.
