Real Betis vs Real Sociedad
This is a massive game in the race for the final
Champions League berth in LaLiga.
Victory for 4th placed Real Sociedad would open up a nine point
advantage on Real Betis who are currently 5th and put them firmly
in pole position to play on the biggest stage next season.
Betis’ UCL hopes took a blow at the weekend as they lost 3-2
at Osasuna but they can take confidence from a strong
recent record against this opposition.
They were a bit unfortunate to lose at the weekend and overall
it’s quite impressive how they’ve managed to maintain a goal
threat despite a dip in form from striker Borja Iglesias
and the long-term absence of the injured Nabil Fekir.
Left-back Juan Miranda scored for the second game running
at the weekend and getting full-backs into advanced,
attacking areas is a really important part of their approach
under Manuel Pellegrini.
Midfielder William Carvalho has also been given license

They’ll need to show more in the final third here
as Betis are a side that always creates chances of their own
and home advantage may just be decisive for Pellegrini’s side
