Celta Vigo are experiencing a slight dip in form
but this is the perfect fixture as they look to get back
to winning ways.
Elche are a lost cause at this point with five straight defeats,
the latest of which came in a relatively winnable game
at home to struggling Valencia.
As has so often been the case this season,
it was bad defending that cost them with a comical own goal
from Gonzalo Verdu effectively killing the game before the break
while fellow centre-back Pedro Bigas was stretchered off injured.
Structurally, it hasn’t been all bad since Sebastián Beccacece
took charge, but confidence levels have to be at rock bottom
now and it’s hard to see their defence not presenting
Celta’s most dangerous forward Iago Aspas with a chance
or two at some point in this game.
