Real Madrid suffered a shock defeat in midweek while Almeria
finally won an away match for the first time this season.

It’s perhaps only natural that motivation and concentration levels
may drop slightly in the remaining league games now
with so many important cup distractions.
Carlo Ancelotti is normally quite good at managing such situations
though and he’ll be demanding a positive response here.
With Courtois and Benzema expected to be fit to return,
they should get back to winning ways.
They are up against an Almeria side that ended their long wait
for an away win with a 2-1 triumph
over relegation rivals Getafe on Wednesday.
A brace from Luis Suarez sealed the three points
and with some winnable fixtures left,
they’ll back themselves to stay up from this position.
It’s going to be interesting to see what Rubi does here in terms
of team selection but I wouldn’t be surprised
if he rested a large number of the players that won
at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
They host bottom club Elche on Tuesday
in a far more winnable fixture and it may be wise
to effectively sacrifice this tough away game and focus
on approaching the Elche clash with a refreshed eleven.
Overall, it’s hard to see Almeria’s poor defence keeping the likes
of Benzema and Vini Junior quiet for long so a convincing home win
is a likely outcome.
