Two badly out of form teams meet here.
Both really need a result for different reasons but
Athletic look more likely to get it.
They were taken apart by an impressive Villarreal side last weekend,
losing 5-1, although they were really short on central defenders
in that game with fringe player Aitor Paredes coming in and
having a day to forget with an own goal.
They should be stronger in that department here with
Dani Vivian returning and their defence should have a much more
comfortable afternoon against a Celta Vigo side whose
performance levels have dropped dramatically.
Carlos Carvalhal even resorted to substituting their two top scorers
last weekend but it couldn’t prevent them from losing 2-1
to Valencia, a result which drags them back into the relegation picture.
They’ve totally lost their way and may slip into further
trouble after this tricky trip to San Mames.
