Mallorca effectively secured their safety with a win last time out against
Cadiz and it’s possible we may see a drop-off from them now
as they have little else to play for having accomplished
their only real objective this season.
While they have their limitations, most notably away from home,
Almeria have continued to look dangerous going forwards and
they always create chances.
A front three of Adri Embarba, Luis Suarez and Leo Baptistao has
combined well and between them they should have enough
to open up this Mallorca defence.
Not dissimilarly to Almeria, there is also a big difference in
Mallorca’s away results when compared to their home
ones and they tend to struggle to play with quite
the same energy and focus on the road.
This feels like a good fixture for Almeria to have at this time
and I expect them to get the win that would
push them towards safety.
